We have heard this very well :

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

To this we can add at the top To realize the Value of Years Ask those serious aspirants Who Failed in KPSC KAS Prelims Exam..

It Took sometime for me to come out of the Trauma of Prelims but now am back in action...

I don't know who frames such things like " FAIL : First Attempt In Learning"
but these minute are helping people in distress to regain the strength and plan better.
Every time when Govt notifies for Job openings Every kind of Candidates apply for the exam... Say Freshers Seniors Serious , not so serious , Some with No idea of what exam it is,,,

It really Doesn't Matter which group you belong to in the above What matters is whether u passed or not...
Failure haunts the senior players than for others as they would be more focused than others.
So Those who have strong desire to clear the exam should frame a proper plan of Action.
There are hopes that this 2014 Recruitment will be completed soon and there will be fresh Notification. There may be Prelims in 2016 or 2017 Don't know But If you stop reading now the situation may turn out be same next time also...

So Figure out the reasons for your earlier failure and start reading again...
Prepare timetable separately for Week Month and for 3 months just to say.
Read and re read and answer atleast 25 to 50 Multiple choice questions. Have an understanding from Previous question papers first then Read all basic books. One main thing is Don't forget to read News paper everyday.

Prepare for exams with bundle of responsibilities

Lot of Women married and having kids attempt KAS, Many in the past have been very successful and in future will be...

I am also one among them only difference is am not succeeded yet... But I am Determined and will not quit till until I have an opportunity to write the exam.

I wrote prelims 2014 and scored somewhere around 120, against all odds I could get this much.

The purpose to write this article is Most of us with bundle of responsibilities at home like to take care of kids family and other household chores, think we can study when the notification comes. Bitter truth is when u have the notification in your hands time will be too short and Endless to read ...

And things may be different at that time.

Take for example When notification was out I Had only 3 months time. I thought that's a lot to prepare but i forgot That I am no more a bachelor who can study all the time and any time anything could be planned :) My son was too young to leave me to read continuously.. and hardly I was able to make out some 4 to 5 hours ... The pressure of clearing prelims itself dint allow me to read apart from time...

So Now have Understood If I keep in touch with the books and read constantly without disturbing the time I spend with family, there will be lesser tension...

If anyone of you are in similar conditions please do read from now itself everyday a little at least.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe- Abraham Lincoln

Anyways most of you know what to read... The point now is to Read re read and revise...

Just before Prelims I was feeling that time is moving at speed of light nearly... now that its over... looks stand still... awaiting the key answers... doubting whether I would get cleared or not for mains...

Long back I had written a post on Woman aspirants,

http://kas-aspirants.blogspot.in/2013/03/for-all-women-aspirants.html

and had listed out how they can study while managing their heavy responsibilities... when I was writing the post had little knowledge on how difficult the situations could be ... now that am in same boat understand its not that easy... anyways I did not give up and will never give up also.. Have worked hard with whatever time I had and wrote the exam. now the cut off would decide whether I am in the race or not...

I am finding it very hard to write the post as feeling very sad that could have done better, anyways I think its the similar kind of situation for many... The only thing possible in the world is to decide on future and work hard , since past can never be edited... Analyse mistakes and think on how to proceed further is the only course of action possible now.

I wish every one good luck for Results.

More than a year and half is over since I wrote the Post KPSC KAS Exams full of uncertainty and What to do Next?
There was a hope that at least by year end of 2013- we might get the new notification... Looks like 2014 which is going to end soon will not see the light of KAS notification... Can one hope for 2015 ??? answer seems to be yes... So Battle ground is silently getting Ready... It is Just that We need to be prepared...

The long wait for call from KPSC has depressed us so much that books are just in the racks and occasionally above the study tables... The Plight of those who secured good marks in Previous exam and those who topped is Much Worse I guess...

Martin Luther King, Jr -We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope...

One Thing is sure the waiting period that we all suffered for new notification, should be taken as a positive lesson by All aspirants that 'This time when the notification Comes I will make sure that will work Hard like never before to crack the Exam for sure(for those who couldn't make it last time) ...'

Its Time to Organize and plan for reading...Also as most of us know what the Syllabus is going to be, though official one is yet to be confirmed...
There is still time for analyzing what went wrong with earlier preparations or for freshers to familiarize themselves with KAS stuff...

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe - Abraham Lincoln

And For those who topped in 2011 n got selected : since Matter in Courts: Justice will be served to you whether delayed or otherwise... But if u have an opportunity to take up Exams again please do write without loosing hopes.Show the world 'how tough you are...Fight back you will win...'

I know So many have lost Faith in KPSC and KAS as there is no guarantee of posts even if one is selected... Don't Worry Things change and we should not loose hope...

At the end of the day, we must go forward with hope and not backward by fear and division- Jesse Jackson

The last experience of KAS has shown us that Not everyone among Topper is by wrong Means... Specially Harish G K The third Rank Holder of GP 2011, I really Appreciate him ...(Did not See his Complete Interview of Samaya News,Available on Youtube as its very heart Breaking )

Anyways we should have Faith in the System and work Hard with positive mindset Results will be good if our efforts are Sincere.

We may stumble and fall but shall rise again; it should be enough if we did not run away from the battle - Mahatma Gandhi

As most of you all know that Govt has called for fresh Notification by withdrawing 2011 Gazetted Probationers , and some of the candidates who are in KPSC Final list are protesting against this decision and asking for their appointment.

Who will explain to the Govt and to these candidates that 'The Current situation is not helping any of the KAS aspirants' whether selected not selected or New aspirants.

The one who is benefited by this is only KPSC members who are accused of corruption and those candidates who went through false means for Posts.

Though the Govt Decision to withdraw notification is Positive in one view but that's not the logical solution or an End in Corruption of KPSC as:
Govt made no serious attempt to put the real culprits that is KPSC members behind bar. mere suspension of one of the member is it enough?
What about the Chairman who has been caught up by CID that he was not present in Interview venue but somewhere in the road while he has signed that he was present...this is just an example... I don't know whether such things are very small mistakes to ignore during appointment of administrators...???

How can one ignore The childish Answer of CM saying " I might have asked members to see whether they can help in interview but that doesn't mean I asked them to take money from candidate and select"
Why should you recommend orally for selecting a candidate to such an important post that is Administration, in that case the 200 mark interview is a waste... does this thing never come under oral corruption???

What about the Tainted candidates even they are allowed to take up the exams again...? How can we allow those who tried to purchase the prestigious posts but not purely on their merit...?
Why is that Govt not giving Proper Straight answers to KPSC which is calling itself an independent organisation when even a small rat inside its office is totally corrupt...? Is there no way to answer to this question of KPSC.

If the Govt is really serious enough to address Such issues and Conduct Proper investigations then we might say that Corruption can and will be removed in KPSC

Now Coming to the Candidates who are fighting for Appointment :

Where were these guys when the sting operation was showed on TV regarding KPSC interview.
It could have been better if you had asked or pressurize Govt to scrap the process right away or to hold proper investigations.

Why dint you pressurize KPSC for re interview and revaluation. If we see the TV interview some are crying and saying that we did not do any corruption why are we punished. their pain is valid and I respect But:

If you alone get appointments even after removing the accused candidates what about those who went till Interview and not selected because of irregularities. Any decision on this issue will have opposes ...

Why anyone did not approach court for Re-interview or revaluation as a remedy to the issue when it was open an out in front of all, Do you really did not know that Something is wrong.

Some of the ministers who are backing you are themselves did not bother to rejuvenate KPSC from Corruption... and are now here just for political gains....
Ok in any case the Govt's Decision is not the End. Even though it is delayed you will get justice by Courts at-least you can allow the call for notification and reappear for exams.
Some are saying that we cant appear for exam because we will not have same mind set , the same is the case with thousands of fresh aspirants or previously failed candidates, Is it their fault to not have any future exams...?

Why always Blame Dr. Mythri that because of her this all happened, What she did is a right thing, in the beginning itself she approached Courts or KAT or Media. May be she is a Daughter of AC , and is fighting for her personal cause, some of them are calling her corrupt and her father as-well... Don't know about her father but if she was corrupt then she could have paid so and so money asked by KPSC member , and saved herself from being blamed by so many of you...At-least someone dared to take a brave step.
Nobody came out in open when she was talking openly in media about KPSC, that time you did not know that you were poor and struggled a lot for this exam and might not get actual Marks or Post which i deserve when this kind of corruption is there in KPSC.

Just because KPSC has allotted posts for you people You are ready to ACCEPT the Corrupt KPSC and Not Questioning its Credibility.
Why not Question KPSC first and then KAT or Authority which can take action against Corrupt members of KPSC...

I think the future administrators should think about removing corruption from root... not just think that I am safe let others do whatever they want

I Don't know Mythri Personally nor am Against the Candidates fighting in Freedom park , I have my wishes for them , what I am trying to say is Its late that you are speaking now... But At-least seek Proper Explanations from KPSC for not conducting exams Honestly and Govt for not taking action on Corrupt and Courts for Delaying such a High Profile Case... In any case Delay is Inevitable...

I would just like to Paste a story from an unknown source... Hope it explains ...
